Festival HQ is at the Science and Industry Museum. Devoted to inspiring visitors through ideas that change the world, from the Industrial Revolution to today and beyond, the museum sits on the site of the oldest surviving passenger railway station, in the heart of the world’s first industrial city, and is alive with innovative discoveries in science and technology.

  • The museum has a buggy park next to our main entrance — though please take any valuable items with you as the museum don’t secure this area

Getting there

By tram: alight at Deansgate/Castlefield which is a 15 minute walk away

By train: the nearest train station is Deansgate which is a 10 minute walk away. Manchester Oxford Road is a 15 minute walk, Manchester Victoria is a 25 minute walk and Manchester Piccadilly is 30 minute’s walk away

By bus: all three Metroshuttle services stop within a 5 minute walk of the museum

By bike: there are bike stands on Lower Byrom Street

By car: please use the postcode M3 4FP for Sat Nav via the M60 ring road. The nearest car parks are NCP on Water Street and Park Avenue RCP
