Virtual reality playground

This is a past event from Manchester Science Festival 2016.

Once the preserve of science fiction, virtual reality has now taken the world by storm. See how this truly immersive experience is being used in fields as diverse as entertainment and education, art and journalism. Try out different virtual reality devices and experience what the future holds.

Float 250 miles above the Earth with the BBC’s award winning spacewalk experience, before wearing your inside on the outside with the augmented reality anatomy t-shirt from Curiscope. Run wild around a giant Pacman game using the Wizdish ROVR VR treadmill, then visit a virtual crime scene with Durham University‘s crime scene rover.
