Water droplet creates ripples. To accompany stories about the photography competition Physics Pics.

Physics Pics

This is a past event from Manchester Science Festival 2017.

Can you capture dark matter? Shoot string theory? Snap Schrödinger’s cat? If the answer is yes, then this could be for you. Brand new, national photography competition Physics Pics is an opportunity for audiences of all ages to illustrate the interesting world of physics (and more broadly, science) with photography.

If you prefer to look but not shoot, you can view the winning pics in a mini exhibition that captures the very best of the stimulating world of physics. Immerse yourself in each stunning visual and its accompanying story to get the whole picture, and why it inspired the photographer. This exhibition will show you the world through a very different lens.
