Object storytelling session at Tate Modern

The Human Stories of Homelessness

Can an object – and its story – challenge the stigma of homelessness? Find out with the Museum of Homelessness in a powerful, challenging and moving performance and workshop that brings together stories about homelessness from Manchester and beyond. Hear stories about homelessness and explore how the act of storytelling can change attitudes and prejudices towards homelessness as we weave together social neuroscience research and verbatim storytelling techniques. You’ll hear from performance Director Tony McBride and UCL researcher Dr Lasana Harris, who questions how we can see some people as less than human, yet develop emotional connections with non-human objects.
