Hip Hop Science Stop

This is a past event from Manchester Science Festival 2017.

Not so long ago in a galaxy not so far away… Pop along to MediaCityUK in Salford and meet Josh Award winner, Jon Chase, as he explains all about science through science fiction, the technology of hip hop and how rap can help people get involved in science at home or even on the street. Hear Jon talk about how rappers and researchers are working together, and discover the urban science experiments using household waste and pound shop bargains that will show you how to be a boffin on a budget.

Stay on after Jon’s talk for a special preview of AquAIRium and Science in the House.

Josh Award winner Jon Chase is a BBC Bitesize science presenter and a science rapper, who has produced science raps for the BBC, Channel 4 learning and NASA amongst others.  He is also an author having recently co-written a book about the Science of Star Wars as well as the soon to be released Science of Harry Potter.
