view of the world from space

This is a past event from Manchester Science Festival 2017.

Space – it’s vast, mysterious… and full of junk. Join us for Adrift, a digital arts project that highlights the increasing environmental hazard of space debris. Created by filmmaker and Sundance Award recipient Cath Le Couteur and audio specialist and BAFTA winner Nick Ryan, this short film casts light on the murky world of space junk by making it personal and visible. Hear about the perils of space debris hiding on the edge of the atmosphere and communicate with space debris live from space via Twitter. Space junk has never sounded so good.
