Welcome to our new Contemporary Science Programme Coordinator

Hello world!

I’m Holly and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Contemporary Science Programme Coordinator for the Manchester Science Festival. I’m so excited to be able to provide support with delivering a programme that is close to my heart and that is such a massive part of Manchester’s yearly calendar!

A little bit about my background: I’ve been involved with Manchester Science Festival in a voluntary capacity since 2014. I had so much fun as a volunteer I came back in to volunteer again in 2015. This inspired my career move from higher education into STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) education, and in 2016 I joined the STEM team at the Museum of Science and Industry. This team manages the STEM Ambassador programme for the North West, and as part of this role I worked with STEM professionals and schools to help deliver exciting and engaging events and activities. Now that I’m part of the Manchester Science Festival team I hope I can continue to inspire people of all ages with the wonders of science.

I look forward to delivering an exciting programme of events, and to working with all of our partners, volunteers, scientists and visitors!
