Turing Text Postponed

Due to delays in the programming of the 'Turing Text' game (an interactive creative writing social media game), this Friday's event 'Turing Texts' has had to be postponed until the new year. Comma Press presents an evening of readings, discussions and 'online AI' to commemorate the centenary of Alan Turing, one of Manchester's greatest scientists. The evening features a special appearance by the Arthur C. Clarke award-winning author, Jane Rogers, who reads a story about Turing's last great theory, Morphogenesis, plus a conversation with Turing's collaborator on the theory, Bernard Richards. The evening will conclude with social network experiment, The Turing Text, a micro-blogging game designed to challenge our definitions of online identity, commission new pieces of fiction and apply the now iconic Turing Test in a social media context.
