Art meets science
Sport
By combining the beauty of dance and the science of quantifying movement, explore how different body parts and sensory systems work together to produce fluent, co-ordinated movements. The dance performance will be supported by visual and audio effects created using technologies used in Manchester Metropolitan University’s laboratories. A short workshop after each performance will provide an opportunity to explore some of these techniques. Come along and learn about the beautiful complexity of simple gestures.
Performance lasts 15 min, followed by 15 min hands-on activities.
