Catalytic Clothing becomes a pop-up ‘launderette’ at MOSI; washing machines from the Museum of Science and Industry's archive collection, accompanied by Catalytic Clothing soap boxes will tell the story of Catalytic Clothing now. Four short films, featuring Erin O'Connor and a soundtrack by Radiohead, will be shown at intervals on the media wall in the Museum.

Catalytic Clothing explores the potential for clothing and textiles to purify the air we breathe. Artist and designer Helen Storey (London College of Fashion) and scientist Tony Ryan (University of Sheffield) have been working together to explore how nanotechnology can eliminate harmful pollutants that cause health problems and contribute to climate change.
