Technology

We use our smartphones for sending texts, browsing the web, taking pictures, watching movies and keeping in touch with friends. But how did we communicate before this amazing technology? Find out at this interactive exhibition, where you'll be able to send messages with flags, use Morse Code, see the latest in HD cameras and find out about some of the latest developments in communications.

As part of the University of Salford’s weekend of technology at MediaCity, we’re also running our popular Digital Retro event, showing computers through the ages. Check out the range of vintage computers and software for you to try out. From the Dragon 32 and the Commodore 64 all the way to the Raspberry Pi, you won’t believe how far we’ve come.
