Primitive Streak @ Royal Exchange Theatre

Primitve Streak

Primitive Streak is a stunning textile collection that tells the story of the first 1000 hours of human life.

Created by fashion designer Helen Storey and biologist Kate Storey, the collection illustrates key events in human embryonic development, from fertilisation, to the formation of the spine, nervous system, the heart and lungs. Seven key pieces have now been confirmed and will be on show between Debenhams Manchester and the Royal Exchange Theatre. An in-conversation event with Helen Storey will be held on Sunday 30 October at Royal Exchange Theatre.

Two pieces can be seen in at the Royal Exchange Theatre. Five further pieces can be seen in Debenham's main window display from 13 - 30 October.

An In conversation event with Helen Storey will be held on Sunday 30 October.

This project is also part of and supported by The Manchester Weekender. Forty-eight hours in the life of the city.
