Small mammal survery in Alex Park

Whalley Range 4 Wildlife is a group of people interested in finding out about the wildlife living in our neighbourhood.

This summer we've been doing bat walks; bird, plant, moth and bug surveys; and air and water quality surveys with support from Greater Manchester Local Record Centre and OPAL.

As part of Manchester Science Festival we will be checking our hedgehog tracking tunnels for tracks, doing small mammal trapping in partnership with Lancashire and Greater Manchester Mammal Group, and helping Manley Park Primary School design 'walk to school' surveys for the children to complete.

Join us on Sat 22 Oct at 8am, at the Claremont Rd/Alexandra Rd South entrance to Alexandra Park to see which voles, mice and shrews we discover in our traps, and whether we have any new hedgehog tracks in our tunnels.
