Knit a galaxy for the Manchester Science Festival

Calling all knitters. As part of the Manchester Science Festival, the University of Manchester stitching group is attempting to knit a hubble telescope image of a rose made up of galaxies. If you'd like to find out more or take away a section to knit come along to the Manchester Museum for a knit and natter. You'll have an opportunity to find out more about meteorites and roses, and meet some fellow knitters.

The finished knitted masterpiece will be on display at the Stitch a Solar System events on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 October as part of the Manchester Science Festival.
