John Dalton devised the Atomic Theory which revolutionised science. He explained colour blindness which changed how we saw the world. He also kept daily weather records in Manchester for 50 years which told us that it rained a lot.
John Dalton was Manchester’s first celebrated figure; the man who made Manchester a city of science.
