Poetry and science: Humphry Davy

Humphry Davy

Humphry Davy (1778-1829) was the foremost chemist of his day. Few people know that he also wrote poetry, much of which he did not publish. Professor Sharon Ruston, from the University of Salford, will give a talk on Davy followed by an open Q&A in which participants will read and discuss some of Davy’s poems.

Please note this event will be held on Monday 24 October, not Tuesday 25 October, as previously advertised.
