40 pairs of catalysed denim jeans will be ‘planted’ in MOSI’s giant seed boxes, introducing the idea that everyday clothing and textiles can purify the air that we breathe. These are potentially the world's first air-purifying jeans, and are embedded with the technology that will later be applied in the laundry process so you too can purify our air.

Catalytic Clothing explores the potential for clothing and textiles to purify the air we breathe. Artist and designer Helen Storey (London College of Fashion) and scientist Tony Ryan (University of Sheffield) have been working together to explore how nanotechnology can eliminate harmful pollutants that cause health problems and contribute to climate change.
