History, Manchester science
John Dalton devised the Atomic Theory which revolutionised science. He explained colour-blindness which changed how we saw the world. He also kept daily weather records in Manchester for 50 years which told us that it rained a lot. John Dalton was Manchester’s first celebrated figure; the man who made Manchester a city of science.
Walk starts at Manchester Visitor Centre, Piccadilly Plaza.
