The Whitworth

The Whitworth is a modern art gallery and is part of the University of Manchester. Originally founded in 1889, it closed in 2013 and reopened in 2014 after extensive refurbishment and expansion. A £15 million development has transformed the gallery into the space it is today, doubling it in size and creating new spaces that embrace the park it calls home.
