We need you! We're seekiing voluneers for this year's Manchester Science Festival. Please find the different opporunities below. If you're interested please complete and return the registration form.
As an Event Volunteer, you will assist at events to help make sure they run smoothly e.g. assisting customers on the door, helping presenters set up, helping with contacting the right people if problems arise, handing out flyers and evaluations.
We are seeking customer focused, articulate volunteers who are happy to work with the public. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in the exciting events which make up the Festival. You need to have some availability during the Festival dates.
We need confident, enthusiastic volunteers who are great communicators. You should have some experience or knowledge of science, as you will be helping to deliver our famous science busking activities in the run up to the festival and at events during the festival.
You will be given training to deliver fun and engaging science busking activities and the opportunity to get out and about around Greater Manchester, communicating science to the masses. You need to have some availability during the Festival dates and possibly in the run up to the Festival to help at our series of Trailblazers.
1500 school students will attend the schools programme over two days. To help make this event happen, we need volunteers to help escort and guide groups around the venue, support groups with their activities and to lend general assistance at the event.
This is a perfect opportunity if you are interested in getting a flavour for an event at the Festival to see how you might participate further in the future, as well as gaining valuable experience working with young people.
We need enthusiastic, willing volunteers who are happy communicating with young people. You ideally need to be available on both days of the schools programme, but it's not essential.
