A Grand Exposition

QuackLab

This is a past event from Manchester Science Festival 2017.

Part of A Grand Exposition: Arcade

Grahame Jebb a.k.a. Dr Quack of Cornbrook Creative is a respected prop and object artist in the retrofuturist ‘steampunk’ movement. His work integrates contemporary design methods with traditional craft techniques. At ‘A Grand Exposition’ Dr Quack will showcase some of the various projects that have occupied his fevered brain all these years and demonstrate his varied methods as he works on his latest schemes. Visitors will be able to participate – trying out the tools and techniques and making their own plaited braid, leather and ‘tinwork’ objects.
