Atomos screening and Q&A with filmmaker Ravi Deepres

This is a past event from Manchester Science Festival 2017.

Wayne McGregor CBE is a multi award-winning choreographer and director, internationally renowned for trailblazing innovations in performance. Join us for a screening and discussion of Atomos with co-director and long-time collaborator Ravi Deepres, chaired by artist-curator, researcher and director Ghislaine Boddington, who is a specialist in body responsive technologies and immersive experiences. McGregor’s choreography, performed by his company of ten world-class dancers, is woven into an intense 70 minute film, taking creative points of departure from atomised film, music and biometric data. Atomos features a soaring score by A Winged Victory For The Sullen, incredible lighting by Lucy Carter, original footage by Deepres, and costumes by wearable technology specialists Studio XO.
