Our volunteer programme is an exciting opportunity to get behind the scenes of event management and get involved in hands-on, cutting edge, exciting science events. There are also some great benefits too:
• Meet like-minded people• Be part of a national science volunteering programme• Enjoy a positive and memorable experience• Receive a full briefing at an event prior to the Festival• You’ll get a free MSF T-shirt
To facilitate the volunteering process, Manchester Science Festival works in partnership with the Greater Manchester STEMNET (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Network) contract holders at The Museum of Science & Industry.
STEMNET runs the nationally coordinated STEM Ambassador Programme, a volunteer network for people who share a passion for science and a desire to enthuse young people.
You must be an existing, registered STEM Ambassador to apply to be an Event Volunteer at the Festival. This is obligatory in order to protect our volunteers and to ensure our Public Liability Insurance Cover.
